About The DD Quiz
The DD Quiz is a host-controlled trivia game show designed specifically for the big TV screen. Unlike ordinary multiple-choice quizzes where answers are given away on buttons, The DD Quiz displays questions prominently on the TV and challenges players to think and speak their answers out loud.
Play in Hand Raise Mode using only your TV remote, or switch to Phone Buzzer Mode where everyone scans the on-screen QR code and their phones become high-speed buzzers with server-arbitrated first-buzz detection. The host awards points, resolves ties, and manages live scoreboards.
Featuring hundreds of vetted trivia questions spanning Science, Movies & TV, Music, Sports, Geography, History, Animals, Food & Drink, Technology, and Kids with configurable timers, individual player or team modes, and sudden-death tie breakers.
How to play

Choose Hand Raise Mode (TV remote only) or Phone Buzzer Mode (phones act as buzzers).

Select Individual Players (2 to 12) or Teams (2 to 8) and customize participant names.

Pick a trivia category, difficulty level, number of questions, and optional countdown timer.

When each question appears on the TV, players raise hands or press BUZZ on their phones.

The answering player speaks out loud, and the host awards or rejects the point on the TV.

- How does Phone Buzzer Mode work?
- Players scan the on-screen QR code with their phone camera. Each phone becomes a live buzzer with server-side first-buzz locking so the fastest player gets to answer verbally.
- Can we play with teams?
- Yes. You can configure 2 to 8 custom teams (such as The Legends, Red Team, Quiz Masters) and players can select their team when joining on their phones.
- What happens if a player buzzes and gets the question wrong?
- The host marks the answer as wrong, and can click Reopen Buzzers. The player who missed remains locked out while remaining players race to buzz in.
