About Circle Curling

Circle Curling is a skill game on a track much longer than the screen. Pull back like a slingshot, let go, and watch the camera ride along as your disc slides down the ice towards the house, a target of coloured rings at the far end.

The fun is in the physics. Discs have real momentum: a straight hit stops your disc and sends the target flying, glancing hits spin both discs, the side boards bounce, orange bumpers kick back harder, slush slows you down and glassy ice sends you further. Knock rival discs off the back line to clear the house.

Play 30 solo sheets in five worlds with up to three stars each, or a Versus match for 2 to 4 players: phones sling their own discs while the TV shows the ice, and a computer player can take any empty seat.

How to play

  1. 1

Pull back on a touch screen like a slingshot and let go, or steer with the remote: arrows to aim and set power, OK to throw.

  2. 2

Power 80 stops exactly on the button. Above 80 is heavy, strong enough to knock rival discs out. A disc that stops before the red hog line is removed.

  3. 3

Discs bounce and push each other. Use hits, bank shots off the side boards and bumpers to move rivals and score.

  4. 4

In a Versus match the player whose disc is closest to the button scores one point for every disc closer than any rival disc.

Controls

  • Phone or touch screen: drag back like a slingshot, release to throw
  • TV remote: arrows steer and set power, OK throws (OK again speeds up the slide), Back opens the menu
  • Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD to steer, Enter or Space to throw, Esc for the menu
  • Mouse: drag back on the ice, release to throw

Frequently Asked Questions

How does scoring work in Circle Curling?
After every disc has been thrown, the player whose disc is closest to the centre scores one point for each of their discs that is closer than the best disc of any other player.
Can I play Circle Curling with just my TV remote?
Yes. The arrows steer the aim and set the power, and OK throws. Phones are optional and give everyone their own slingshot.
How do phones connect for multiplayer?
Scan the QR code on the TV or visit gamesontv.online/connect and enter the room code. On your turn you pull back on your phone to throw, and your phone replays every throw too.
What happens when discs hit each other?
Momentum passes from disc to disc. A head-on hit stops the shooter and sends the other disc off at almost the same speed, glancing hits send discs sideways and make them spin.
