Acerca de Node Wars: Conquer the Map
Node Wars: Conquer the Map is a fast, turn-based conquest game for your TV in the style of classic dice-war games. Every commander starts with a single home base on a hexagon map; everything else is grey, unclaimed land. Expand from your base, grab territory and push towards your rivals until one colour rules the whole map.
Attacking is simple and follows the Speed Conquest rules: pick one of your territories with soldiers, choose a neighbouring grey or enemy territory and press OK. Empty land is taken straight away, even by a single soldier. Otherwise both sides roll one die per soldier plus one; the higher total wins and the survivors march in, while the winner loses soldiers in proportion to the loser’s roll. Attack as many times as you like, one direction at a time, then press End turn.
At the end of every turn you receive one reinforcement per territory in your largest group of connected territories, sent straight to its front line, so keeping your land joined up matters. Play solo against one to three computer commanders (Easy or Hard) or pass one TV remote between up to four friends. Small, medium and large maps are generated fresh every game and mirrored so every corner starts equal.

Choose Computer or Friends, the number of commanders (2–4) and a map size, then press Start game.

On your turn, move the cursor to one of your territories with soldiers and press OK. All of its soldiers will march.

Use the arrows to aim at a neighbouring grey or enemy territory and press OK. Empty land is taken at once; otherwise both sides roll soldiers + 1 dice and the higher total wins.

Keep attacking as long as you like. When you are done, press right past the edge of the map to reach the End turn button and press OK.

You receive one reinforcement per territory in your largest connected group, placed on its front line. Conquer the whole map to win.

- How do you win Node Wars?
- Conquer the whole map. Knock every rival commander out by taking all of their territories; the last commander standing claims every remaining territory.
- How do battles work?
- Empty territories are simply taken, even by one soldier. Otherwise each side rolls one six-sided die per soldier plus one. Higher total wins and ties go to the defender. The winner loses soldiers equal to its dice times the loser’s roll divided by its own roll, but keeps at least one. A winning attacker’s survivors move in; a beaten attack loses all its soldiers.
- How do reinforcements work?
- At the end of your turn you get one soldier for every territory in your largest group of connected territories. They are sent automatically to that group’s front line, up to 8 soldiers per territory.
- How many people can play?
- Two to four commanders. Play solo against computer opponents on Easy or Hard, or share one TV remote with up to three friends.
- Do I need phones or an app?
- No. Node Wars runs in your smart TV browser and is played entirely with the TV remote. It is free with no account.
